• Accommodations (except for some apartments for private use) are situated at walking distance from the school.
  • Reservation runs from Sunday (before the first course day) until Saturday (after the last course day). Extra nights can be booked.

The school is located in the safe and leafy Parque Rodó neighborhood and all of the host families live within a radius of 5 blocks - just a couple of minutes' walk.

Homestay in MontevideoLiving with a local family is the perfect way to accelerate your learning as you will be able to practice Spanish with the family outside of class. You will also get to know the culture and traditions of Uruguay through sharing everyday life with local people. You will share two meals a day with the family (breakfast and lunch), and you can arrange to spend time with them in the afternoons and at the weekend.

The host families always give their guests a warm welcome and enjoy the opportunity to share Uruguayan life and culture with someone from a different country.

Single, double and twin rooms are all available. All the families have a shared living or dining room where you are welcome to relax, study, and chat to your hosts and their family or friends who may visit.

School Residence

School Residence in MontevideoThe school residence is in a beautiful old house in the safe, central and leafy Parque Rodó neighborhood.

The school classrooms and office are on the ground floor and upstairs there are five bedrooms for students, with two bathrooms to share. One of the bedrooms also has a private bathroom, and two share a balcony overlooking the street. Another bedroom has a second door which opens out onto the roof terrace. There is a large and fully-equipped kitchen downstairs for the students to use, as well as a spacious living-dining room for socializing. There is a patio and roof terraces on two floors, where you can sunbathe or have a barbecue.

The school is located about 10 blocks from the centre and 8 blocks from the nearest beach. There are shops, restaurants, markets, supermarkets, bus services and an ATM within a five-block radius. The main bus terminal is also within walking distance, so it is easy to plan and make trips outside of Montevideo at the weekends.

School Residence in MontevideoAll of the rooms have comfortable single or double beds, desk and chair, wardrobes and drawers. In winter there is central heating and in summer electric fans are available. Although the shared areas (living room, terraces etc.) can be used by non-resident students, the corridor that leads to the bedrooms, the upstairs bathroom and the bedrooms themselves are only for residents. Also, outside of office hours (09:00 - 15:00) the shared areas are only for the students who live in the school, ensuring a safe and peaceful atmosphere.

Services available to school residents include Wi-Fi throughout the building and terraces, use of the school computer, use of the public telephone to both make and receive phone calls, and weekly cleaning. Towels and bed linen are provided and you will have your own set of keys. Meals are not included and nor is use of the washing machine, but there is a laundry on the same block.


Apartment in MontevideoWe have available a range of private apartments for students to live in independently while studying with us.

They are in various neighborhoods, some very close to the school, others a short bus ride away. All come fully furnished and equipped for a comfortable stay in Montevideo with private kitchen, bathroom, living space and double bedrooms.

Some have balcony or terrace space. The school is located in Parque Rodó, a safe and central area, and one of our apartments is on the next street, just a couple of minutes' walk away. A second apartment, the most central one, is a couple of blocks away from the main commercial street in the city centre, where you'll find shops, banks, restaurants, and theaters. The third apartment is in Pocitos, which is a fashionable area and has one of the best beaches for swimming and sports in the city. Our apartment is just a few blocks from the beach. There are also a lot of nice bars and restaurants in the area.

Airport transfer.

Students arriving at the airport of Montevideo can book the airport transfer. A school representative will pick the student up at the airport and will take to his/her accommodations.

Students arriving at the port of Montevideo are advised to take a taxi themselves. There is no central meeting point at the port.
