The school residence is in a beautiful old house in the safe, central and leafy Parque Rodó neighborhood.
The school classrooms and office are on the ground floor and upstairs there are five bedrooms for students, with two bathrooms to share. One of the bedrooms also has a private bathroom, and two share a balcony overlooking the street. Another bedroom has a second door which opens out onto the roof terrace. There is a large and fully-equipped kitchen downstairs for the students to use, as well as a spacious living-dining room for socializing. There is a patio and roof terraces on two floors, where you can sunbathe or have a barbecue.
The school is located about 10 blocks from the centre and 8 blocks from the nearest beach. There are shops, restaurants, markets, supermarkets, bus services and an ATM within a five-block radius. The main bus terminal is also within walking
distance, so it is easy to plan and make trips outside of Montevideo at the weekends.
All of the rooms have comfortable single or double beds, desk and chair, wardrobes and drawers. In winter there is central heating and in summer electric fans are available. Although the shared areas (living room, terraces etc.) can be used by non-resident students, the corridor that leads to the bedrooms, the upstairs bathroom and the bedrooms themselves are
only for residents. Also, outside of office hours (09:00 - 15:00) the shared areas are only for the students who live in the school, ensuring a safe and peaceful atmosphere.
Services available to school residents include Wi-Fi throughout the building and terraces, use of the school computer, use of the public telephone to both make and receive phone calls, and weekly cleaning. Towels and bed linen are provided and you will have your own set of keys. Meals are not included and nor is use of the washing machine, but there is a laundry on the same block.
