Changes to enrollments
We reserve the right to charge an administration fee of GBP 50 each time course details are changed after documentation has been issued and sent with confirmation. This charge will not apply to extended courses.
Students taking any medicines should give their medicines to our staff as soon as they arrive on the campus. Clear written instructions (in English) on how the medicines should be administered must be obtained from the student's parent(s)/guardian(s) and given to our staff as well. Students should also inform us of any allergies they may suffer from.
If students feel ill during their course they should tell a member of staff immediately. We will then be able to provide any assistance that may be required.
In the UK, for students from most European Union countries and others with reciprocal arrangements, general medical treatment is usually free. Prescription charges apply to prescribed medicine. Students from other countries will usually have to pay to see a doctor.
Every student must have a comprehensive insurance package before leaving home. This should cover loss and/or damage to personal belongings, medical expenses in the event that the student is ill, and course fees in the event of an unexpected cancellation or curtailment of the student's course.
Insurance for UK courses can be easily purchased from www.course-u-can.co.uk. We recommend the "Five Star Cover".
We accept no liability for the loss of, or damage to, any person's property while on the summer school premises, or while engaged in leisure activities outside the campus.
Program Cancellation before the course starting date:
Cancellation fees are charged as follows, and any balance is refunded less non-refundable items and bank fees and payment processing charges (if any). Any refunds will be made within 30 days of cancellation notification.
- 30 or more days before the course begins: cancellation fee in the amount of the tuition deposit;
- 20 or more days, but less than 30 days before the course starting date:
cancellation fee in the amount of tuition deposit + 30% of the program fees;
- more than 7, but less than 20 days before the course starting date:
cancellation fee in the amount of tuition deposit + 50% of the program fees;
- There is no refund if the cancellation received 7 or less days before the course starting date.
Students who do not obtain a visa, will be refunded the complete amount paid less non-refundable items (application and registration fees, accommodation placements fees, international courier service and bank charges if any) and administration fee in the amount of the tuition deposit, if they inform the office in writing no later than 30 days before the program starts. Otherwise, our regular cancellation policy is applied. The student also must return to the Enrollment Center the denial letter from the English Embassy (Consulate).
In no case money will be refunded once the course and/or lodging has started. Deposits and fees are not transferable from person to person. Students are advised to take out cancellation insurance with their local provider in case they need to cancel their courses within 30 days of the start date, or while they are on the course.
It is a basic stipulation of the agreement/contract between students and IPSA or consortium member schools or representatives, that neither IPSA, nor any of its member schools or representatives, is liable to the students in cases where IPSA or the school is unable to fulfill any services to which they are contractually bound because of labor disputes or other reasons beyond their control.
