Spanish Language School in Granada

about the School.
Spanish Language School in Granada is an innovative educational and cultural center offering Spanish language classes, volunteer social service opportunities, and special programs to introduce you to the Nicaraguan people, their history, culture and natural environment.

Rising above the shores of Lake Nicaragua (the tenth largest lake in the world) Granada is one of the oldest Spanish colonial cities in the New World. A lively commercial and cultural center, Granada was frequently raided in its early years by Caribbean pirates.

The cool lake breezes, lovely colonial style architecture, and vistas of the towering Mombacho volcano make strolling through Granada a scenic delight. Located one hour south of Managua, Nicaragua's capital city, Granada provides access to many of the cultural and natural wonders of the country.

In Granada you can learn Spanish while enjoying natural beauty in an authentic Central American environment. Best of all, you will get to know the Nicaraguan people, famed for their hospitality, poetry, and love of life.

The School's building is a lovely colonial-style adobe located in one of the historic districts of Granada. It is built around two interior gardens, and the classrooms are comfortable and attractive.

We offer short and long-term intensive Spanish courses for beginning, intermediate and advanced students. Classes consist of one to four students working with Nicaraguan instructors.

At our School in Granada we strive to create an atmosphere of openness, trust, non-violence, compassion, and respect for all persons and give our students the best possible Spanish language training and experience of Nicaragua.
