Medical Spanish on Margarita Island, Venezuela

As communication with the Spanish speaking patient and colleagues is gaining importance, our Spanish School has designed this Spanish course for the medical professions. The medical Spanish course is dedicated to any kind of health care professionals and also students of the corresponding careers.

The main goal of the Spanish course for medicine is to improve the Spanish language skills in order to be able to communicate with patients, gain confidence and be able to help to recover and maintain himself and his family healthy.

The course consists on a Spanish course focused on medicine, held in the afternoons from 2.00 to 6.15 pm (25 lessons, 45 min per week).

The school can help organizing an internship for those students who are physicians or medical students in the last semester, and will be on the island at least 2 weeks. If you are interested in an internship you have to send to the school the following documents:

  • Complete resume
  • Copy of the matriculation in the university
  • Copy of your accreditation for practicing medicine (if you are physician)
  • A personal letter exposing your interests and motives for the internship

The school has to receive the document one month before the course start. Do not forget to bring with you your white coat.

For the medical Spanish course a working knowledge of basic Spanish is required.
