You can enroll in the Study Abroad Program in Caracas, Venezuela of any duration with flexible starting dates. We can help you design your own study abroad program in Venezuela according to your specific needs: you can combine Spanish Language and Academic courses for academic credit with different activities and excursions. Just contact us and our academic advisors will be happy to assist you.
Students interested in courses for credit can study throughout the year. Standard group language courses may be taken on the normal schedule and specialized courses such as literature or culture may be taken as private courses. Classes are intensive, consisting of 20 contact hours per week with a maximum of six students per class. Minimum of every four weeks students complete one more level of proficiency. Courses are at our school and comply with the generally accepted standard of 15 contact hours (50 minutes/hour) of class time per credit hour.
You can also choose to enroll in our standard Summer, Semester or Academic Year Study Abroad Programs in Caracas, Venezuela.
Term:
- Spring Semester: 15 weeks, January - May, 12 to 15 credits.
- Fall Semester: 15 weeks, August - December, 12 to 15 credits.
- Summer I: 4 weeks, May - June, 4 credits
- Summer II: 4 weeks, June - July, 4 credits
- Summer III: 4 weeks, July - August, 4 credits

Spanish Level: any level.
We offer the most cost effective academically strong study abroad programs in Venezuela. The program fee for semester program is only $4,475.00 and the summer session is only $1,230.00.
The program fee includes:
- Spanish group immersion classes in Caracas, 20 lessons a week.
- Two (2) excursions per week (3 hours each).
- Special Activities (3 hours) every week: social events, lectures, video, games, plays, dance, etc.
- On-site orientation and counseling.
- Airport transfer in Caracas.
- Lodging in a family home, in a private room, including breakfast and dinner.
Airfare, independent travel, and personal expenses are additional.
Academics:
Our Spanish Language Immersion courses at different levels correspond to the following courses:
- Spanish 101. Beginning Spanish (4 credits)
First semester college-level Spanish. Develop basic listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. Some cultural readings are included. This course is intended for participants with little or no prior Spanish language instruction.
- Spanish 102. Elementary Spanish (4 credits)
Second semester college-level Spanish. Develop basic listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. Some cultural readings are included. This class is designed to further develop and strengthen the language skills acquired in Spanish 101.
- Spanish 201. Intermediate Spanish (4 credits)
Third semester college-level Spanish. Further improve conversation and comprehension proficiency. Develop reading and writing skills through literary analysis and grammar review. This class is designed to further develop and strengthen the language skills acquired in Spanish 102.
- Spanish 202. Intermediate Spanish (4 credits)
Fourth semester college-level Spanish. Further improve conversation and comprehension proficiency. Develop reading and writing skills through literary analysis and grammar review. This class is designed to further develop and strengthen the language skills acquired in Spanish 201.
- Spanish 301. Spanish Conversation and Composition (3 credits)
Emphasis on the development of communication skills: the ability to comprehend both written and spoken texts, and to speak, read, and write in Spanish beyond the intermediate level.
- Spanish 411. Advanced Spanish Conversation and Composition 302 (3 credits)
Improves student's level of written and spoken language through studying the most challenging points of advanced Spanish grammar. Emphasizes written communication of various styles.
- Spanish 412. Business Spanish (3 credits)
Includes vocabulary of Spanish business, skills in report writing, proper format for business communications, and conversational fluency of trade-related topics. Encourages cultural and interpretive study of specific business-related situations using business community in Caracas as a learning resource.
