JOB GUIDANCE SEMINARS
Every course includes seminars which give practical, informed advice on:
- how and where to find TEFL jobs
- how to write a TEFL resume
- typical jobs and conditions of work
- how to evaluate job offers and contracts
PERSONALIZED ADVICE
Our Director of Teacher Training and our trainers personally advise each course participant on how to undertake his/her job search. They will help each person to produce an appropriate TEFL resume. They will also advise graduates on all job offers which they receive during or after their course.
COMPUTER ACCESS
All program participants have access to computers and the Internet during their training course.
CULTURAL BRIEFING
Each course includes informative workshops on a range of cross-cultural issues, such as how to deal with culture shock. In addition, participants have access to useful cultural briefing notes on over 100 countries.
TEFL JOB FILES
Our School has compiled very extensive TEFL job files, which are regularly updated. These files contain an enormous amount of valuable job search information and materials which include:
- articles on TEFL job markets overseas
- listings of over 3000 TEFL employers
- letters from our graduates teaching overseas
- examples of job offers and contracts
- current advertisements for TEFL jobs.
PROFESSIONAL CONTACTS
The School has assisted literally hundreds of schools with their recruitment needs, and have built up an extensive network of overseas contacts. Many overseas employers now contact us directly when they are looking for teachers.
JOB INFORMATION NEWSLETTER
We constantly monitor the TEFL job market, and we produce a newsletter which lists current TEFL job openings around the world. We will send a copy of this newsletter to our graduates (by mail, fax or e-mail) at any time after their course. We will also send them extra materials from our Job Files. There is no extra charge for these services.
