The English plus Work Experience programme offers the perfect opportunity of learning English not only in the classroom, but also in a working environment.
The object of the course is to immerse the student in the English language - in the classroom, the workplace, the accommodation and the lively social life. Although there is no typical work experience placement, there are certain patterns to the work programme which depend on the length of the placement. Students who spend a short time on this programme will fulfil typical daily duties within the work environment they choose. Students who work for a longer period of time will be given more responsibility, and may have their own mini-projects to complete.
The programme consists of a minimum of 4 weeks intensive English course, followed by a minimum of a further 3 weeks work placement which focuses on one of the specialised fields (as listed below). The total course duration is therefore a minimum of 7 weeks.
Specialised Fields:
- Marketing
- Finance
