Summer English courses for Kids and Teens in England

Junior English Summer School in Hyde Park (10 - 17)

Our summer school operates during the months of June, July and August. Students can start the course any Monday during this period. The main focus of this summer program is for students to improve their English through fun activities. During their Summer English School Experience, students boost their skills through inspiring activities, projects and London excursions.

The programme provides students with a British style school experience which places the focus on developing a command of English language skills in academic / school subjects.

Junior Summer Camp in Hyde Park, EnglandEach week focuses on a particular theme, such as culture, history, commerce, or the environment. The thematic nature of the course means students learn within a meaningful context and will not repeat the same lesson nor excursion no matter when they arrive or for how long they stay.

Course length from 1 to 9 weeks. Minimum stay is 1 week. All classes are taught by specialist teachers with experience of working with 3-10 years old children. Classes are Monday through Friday from 9.00 am to 4.15 pm.

Every new student takes a placement test on their first day. This placement test helps the team identify which level is more suited for the student. Students are then grouped by level of English and age to ensure students in the same classes are at the same stage of their cognitive development.

Program Details:

  • Minimum stay is 1 week
  • 27.5 hours of English per week (including all academic subjects and daily excursions)
  • Summer Programs for students from 11 to 17 years of age
  • Children and staff from over 50 countries
  • The maximum class size is 20 students
  • Lunch is included on all courses
  • We offer a day program without accommodations and a residential program with full board accommodations in the residence

Optional Weekend Excursions: the school will organize optional full day excursions every Saturday and Sunday throughout Summer School. These will be in addition to the weekly excursions included in the program. Parents can participate in excursions with their children. Both fun and cultural, these excursions will allow the students to learn about London and visit its attractions. It will also be an opportunity for parents to notice their children's progress and meet the school staff.

Ticket to UK Universities (15 - 17 years old)

This intensive two-week course prepares students for the IELTS International English Language Testing Service and supports them in their school academic orientation/university research (orientation interview, university visits) and university applications (resume development, personal statement drafting and university pre-enrolment mock interview).

The course opens with an "interest interview" to identify courses that best fit each participant's passions, skills, academic interests and grades. Students will visit top London universities and hear from their experts about what students need to focus on to be a successful candidate. Students tour university campuses and libraries to get a sense of what it means to be an undergraduate in London.

Candidates will be guided through the process of writing a resume and a personal statement, and identifying referees to provide testimonials. They will also work on university interview skills and how to use their experience and knowledge of the world to give them a head start when applying for academic life in the UK.

With our expert guidance, candidates will prepare for the high-stakes IELTS Academic test. This test is recognised as evidence of proficiency in English by more than 9,000 education and training providers worldwide. IELTS examination not included.
