Our summer school in Exeter operates during the months of July and August. The main focus of this program is for students to improve their English through fun activities. Students learn through topic-based activities such as sport, music, travelling and British culture. Students work in groups and learn to investigate, describe, discuss, give opinions as well as learn verb tenses and expand their vocabulary. There is a task each week that students prepare and then present to each other.
One day a week, the lessons take place outside the classroom in the forest where students learn outdoor skills, such as starting a fire, shelter building and working as a team whilst interacting with English people.
Afternoon Activities for the juniors include Water sports (Canoeing, Kayaking, Dragon Boat), Paddle Boarding & Caving, Climbing & Archery Football, volleyball, rounders, and swimming. Our students visit museums, cathedral and churches. Included are Exeter Underground Passages and Ghosts & Legends Tour in Exeter.
Evening Activities include bowling, cinema, quiz nights, film nights, board games, evening walks, beach
evenings and disco.
