Choose your work experience program in Spain:
- Study & Work in Spanish Hotels
This program is available to students from the USA, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and Japan, along with EU member states and Iceland, Switzerland and Norway. Study in any of our schools in Spain for a minimum of 4 weeks, then put your new language skills to work in a hotel or country house in mainland Spain or the Canary or Balearic Islands. Accommodation and meals will be provided during your work placement and you will earn a small monthly allowance to cover your expenses while you live in Spain and build your tourism resume.
- Study & Work in Marbella
This program is available to EU members (except Romania and Bulgaria) plus Norway, Iceland and Switzerland. Study in any of our schools in Spain for a minimum of 4 weeks, then work in the Spanish Costa del Sol in hospitality or retail business. You will earn a monthly salary during the work phase to cover your basic expenses while you live in Spain.
Our Spanish & Work in Spanish Hotels program offers you a unique opportunity to improve your Spanish and earn a small allowance while you gain valuable work experience in Spain's hospitality industry. This program is available for students of many nationalities.
You will have a Spanish language immersion course at Spanish Language School in Barcelona before putting your new skills into practice on a paid work placement in a Hotel or Country House.
You will work on Spain's beautiful mainland or on the Balearic or Canary Islands. You will have accommodation and meals provided during the work placement phase and you will earn an allowance of between EUR 200 and EUR 400 per month.
Spanish & Work in Spanish Hotels program includes:
- Intensive 20 + 5 Spanish course (4 weeks) at our Spanish language schools in Barcelona, Granda, Madrid, Salamanca, Tenerife and Valencia.
- Work placement in a 3-5 star Hotel or Country House in Spain.
2 months for students from USA, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and Japan
2 months (minimum) to 4 months (maximum) for citizens of the EU, Iceland, Switzerland and Norway
- Certification of completion.
- Full board shared accommodation in the Hotel or Country House for the duration of the work placement.
- Telephone support during the work placement for employer and employee.
Work placement destinations: Spanish mainland, Mallorca, Fuerteventura, Lanzarote or Tenerife, depending on your preferences and subject to availability.
Eligibility, Citizenship: Students from the EU, Iceland, Norway, Switzerland, USA, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and Japan
Age: You must be 18 - 35 years old
Interest in the Tourism Industry: We require that participating students have either academic coursework or work experience in tourism, leisure, hospitality management or food service.
Required Spanish Level: Upper intermediate preferred.

Our Spanish & Work in in Marbella program combines a Spanish course (4 weeks minimum) at Spanish Language School in Barcelona with job placement following the course in Marbella, a resort town in southern Spain. You won't get rich, but you will earn enough to cover basic expenses.
After your Spanish course you will start your work experience in the famous Spanish coastline of Costa Del Sol. You'll be close to Seville and Granada, and only 3 hours from Madrid by train.
You will work in a hospitality or retail business. Positions include: bartender, amusement park attendant, waitress, kitchen assistant, waiter's helper, hostess.
Salaries range from EUR 600 to EUR 900 per month. You salary will depend on your personal qualifications and the job you are offered. In some jobs, you may also earn tips, usually, between EUR 150 and EUR 200 per month.
Spanish & Work in in Marbella program includes:
- Intensive 20 + 5 Spanish course (4 weeks) at our Spanish language schools in Barcelona, Granda, Madrid, Salamanca, Tenerife and Valencia.
- Pick-up & welcome to the program at Marbella Central bus station.
- Orientation & guidance meeting; organization of job interviews.
- Assistance in obtaining the Número de Identificación Extranjeros (NIE) & Social Security card that youÕll need to live and work in Spain.
- Access to the Participants' Lounge and Terrace in Marbella during working hours.
- Free Internet access
- Free post box services so you can receive mail
- Access to the 24-hour helpline
- Accommodation services: Orientation, support and assistance throughout the Work Experience phase. It is compulsory that you stay in the lodging we provide in order to be eligible for the Work Experience phase: Spanish course: Host family, student residence or shared student flat. Work experience: shared apartments.
Although the price listed above is calculated for a 4-week course, students beginning the course with less than a strong intermediate level of Spanish are encourage to opt for a longer Spanish course. Keep in mind that with a higher level of Spanish, you'll be more likely to land a more interesting and potentially tip-earning position.
Work experience duration: From 3 months - 6 months!
