Málaga and the Costa del Sol

    The great beaches of nearby Costa del Sol are what have made Malaga one of the most visited regions of Spain. However, this town has more to offer than just seaside and sunshine!

    Malaga, capital of the Costa del Sol has a rich and unique history. Founded by Phoenicians, it has been inhabited by Greeks, Carthaginians, Romans and the Moors. The city was conquered in 1487 by the "Reyes Catolicos". Throughout the city, one can visit many of the historical monuments.

    Today, Málaga is a cosmopolitan city that holds Spain's second largest harbour - a commercial and cultural centre in Southern Spain. Its theatres and cinemas, museums , shopping-malls sports-facilities and bull ring, offer all kinds of entertainment.

    The mild climate assures 326 days of sun each year with an average temperature of 22ºC. Málaga is only a short trip away from Granada, Sevilla, Córdoba, Ronda and other places of interest.

    This beautiful area has inspired great poets and artists. Salvador Dali spent some of his most productive years in this Mediterranean port city.

    Pablo Picasso is the city’s famous son (not counting Antonio Banderas of course!) and there are several galleries exhibiting his work, including the 16th century Museum of Fine Arts, adjacent to the Cathedral .

The School

    Málaga Plus is only 300 meters from the beach. The school is situated in the centre of the 'Pedralejo' district, 20 minutes by bus from the tourist centre. In the business district, you will meet many Spanish tourists who are on holiday in their own country.

    The school building has six classrooms, a courtyard, a covered terrace with bar and facilities such as video and TV. The school is open all year, except for the last two weeks of December.

    The minimum age is 18 years and you have a maximum of 7 other students in a group.

    The school is a site for the Multi-City Program in Spain.

The Courses

    The School offers Spanish for General Purposes courses: standard intensive (4 hours of instruction per day), superintensive (6 hours of instruction per day) and private one-to-one tuition.

    Throughout the years we have had many students visit us from all over the world. We are grateful for this and have gained so much knowledge and experience, enabling us to meet the wants and needs of our students. Our students want to learn the language and we are here to ensure they achieve their goals!
