Examination Courses D.E.L.E.



Spanish Language and Culture Immersion

The courses take place throughout the year and start every Monday. You may enroll in courses lasting from 1 week to several months and choose from a variety of different course types to meet your individual needs.



General Information

The first day of the course begins with written and oral level-testing exams and all students are placed in appropriate classes. The beginner course starts on the first day.

There are 6 different levels, from courses for beginners to those designed for perfecting language skills, each with an average of 2 - 8 students per group; the average number during the year is 2 to 6 students per level.

Classes are held Monday to Friday from 9.00 a.m. to 12.30 or 2.30 p.m. We offer 20, 25 and 30 classes per week, each class lasting 45 minutes. During high season (spring/fall) classes may be held in the afternoons from 05.00 p.m.

A final examination and certificate of attendance, with the level obtained, will be given at the end of each course. Upon request, an Official transcript may be sent to the student's home institution for credit transfer.

Standard and Intensive Courses

A. Standard Courses
20 classes per week in a small group (2 to 6 students)

B1. Intensive Courses
25 classes per week in a small group or 20 group classes + 2 private lessons per week

B2. Super Intensive Courses
30 classes per week in a small group or 20 group classes + 4 private lessons per week

C1. Standard-Plus 1
Standard Course with 1 additional private class per day

C2. Standard-Plus 2
Standard Course with 1 additional private class per day

Cultural Courses

These courses are designed for intermediate and advanced students, helping them to practice the language discussing cultural themes.

The courses consist of 6 lessons a week. Students pay an additional fee and can choose between the following topics.
  • Spanish Culture and Society
  • Spanish and Latin-American Literature
  • Spanish and Latin-American Music
  • Spanish Films

"Uno a Uno" Individual Courses

The student plans the intensity, the content and the length of the course.

D. Business Spanish

The courses in Business Spanish prepare students, in private "one to one" classes, for the exams "Certificado Básico", "Certificado Superior" and "Diploma de Español de los Negocios" of the Madrid Chamber of Commerce.

Topics covered in these courses are: general business correspondence, business negotiations and Spain's role in the international market. The courses are ideal for professionals working in import and export or for those who wish to work in any branch of commerce in Andalusia.

E. Training Courses for Teachers of Spanish

The main objective of these Individual Courses is to offer non-native teachers the possibility to update and perfect their knowledge of the Spanish language. In the course we present the latest teaching materials and give a general overview of modern Spain. At the same time, we will reflect upon the following issues:
  • interesting and new ways of teaching grammar
  • games and excercises for livelier class
  • presentation of texts and recommended reading
  • videos and books for teaching.

F. Examination Courses D.E.L.E.

The Preparation Courses and Examination Courses D.E.L.E. are designed for students with an intermediate or advanced level, helping them to prepare for the "Certificado Inicial", "Diploma Básico" and the "Diploma Superior" exams.

At the end of the courses, students will be able to take the official examination in Granada. The exams are organized by the Spanish Ministry of Education and take place at the end of May and November.
