La Herradura, is a quiet and small village situated in a wonderful bay between two cliffy mountains, Punta de la Mona and Cerro Gordo. Some time ago it was a fishing hamlet, but today it has grown and developed, becoming a residential area very attractive for the Spanish tourisms without a sacrifice of its enchantment in exchange for the progress.
The sub tropical climate yields an abundance of chirimoyas, avocados,and mangos and allows the practise of the numerous sports offered, possible throughout the whole year. 3 km from the village one can find the local marina, Marina del Este with shops galleries and restaurants.
 The long beach offers numerous facilities of practicing aquatic sports, paragliding, tennis and also other mountain sport whole year around. The richness at the bottom of the sea, has made of La Herradura a perfect place for diving. La Herradura has a great amount of "Chiringuitos" ( typical beach restaurants) where you can taste the gastronomic specialties of the zone.
