The length of your stay in Spain, your own character and personality, your level of Spanish, whether you need a special dietÉ These are some of the factors to bear in mind when you choose one accommodation or another.

Location of Accommodations.

The city of Alicante runs lengthwise along the coast, gradually moving inland, with neighbourhoods such as San Blas and San Blas Alto or the Altozano quarter to the West; the Benalœa or Babel quarters to the South, or the San Ant—n and Carolinas quarters to the North, among others. Thus, the city forms a kind of semicircle facing the sea.

Since the school of Spanish is located in the center of the city, this urban organization means the accommodations are usually around 30-35 minutes from the school on foot.

If you do not like walking, all the quarters of the city are connected to the center by urban buses running every 10-15 minutes.

As you already know, all the cities and villages of the Spanish Mediterranean coast have visitors from many different Spanish and European cities, especially during the festivities and the summer.Ê

That is why the accommodation prices change depending on the season in which you come. There may be different prices for High or Low Season.

In general, the High Season includes the months of June, July, August and September, in addition to the Easter and Carnival holidays.

Your Spanish Host Family:

Living with a Spanish family is one of the best ways to get to know the country you visit, including its culture and its people. It will also allow you to practice the Spanish language in a natural way.

The maximum distance between the house and the school is 40 minutes on foot or 10-15 minutes by bus.

The families are selected and visited regularly. In all of them, you will find a warm atmosphere that will help you get integrated into the family and city life very quickly.

You will have a single room and will be able to choose between accommodation and breakfast, half board (breakfast and lunch) or full board (breakfast, lunch and dinner).

Ê The family provides the bed linen, but you must bring your own towels. You should keep your room clean and share the housework with the rest of the family. You can use the washing machine once a week. The family will give you your own key.

As in any family around the world, there are also a series of rules you must follow: be punctual to meal hours, let the host know if you are not having lunch or dinner at home, phone when arriving late at night...

A week before your arrival you will be sent all the information related to the family you will live with.

This is a way to live with and meet other Spanish people or people from different countries. If independence is an important requirement for you, if you are coming with friends or if your stay will be long, this could be the appropriate option.

This type of accommodation has an important advantage: you can live with other people, practice the language and, at the same time, enjoy more freedom coming and going.

The flats are well located, with a maximum distance of 25-30 minutes on foot from the school and 10 minutes by bus. Students have their own room and share the living room, the kitchen and the bathroom.

The flats have a washing machine, fridge and television. In some of them and depending on the length of your stay, you are given bed linen, but in others, you are not. You must always bring your own towels.

You can arrange for cleaning, shopping and cooking with your flat mates, or you can go your own way.
