We believe that a language program must be complemented with a wide range of social and cultural activities not only to allow students to use and practice the Portuguese language but also to maximize student's exposure to Portuguese culture.

Weekly Excursions

The school offers various excursions throughout each week. One evening is usually devoted to a soccer game, another night may be a degustation at a local bar or restaurant. Afternoons, professors may take students to local tourist sites. It depends somewhat on the enthusiasm of the students and their personal interests. Here is a list of frequently offered activities: (a small fee is usually charged for transportation, and in the case of dining out, students will need to pay for their meals)

• Theater/music/dance shows at local theater
• Movies (at cinema and rented for television viewing)

Weekend Excursions

Weekend excursions are typically longer in duration and further away from the city. Sometimes professors will take students to see cultural and historical places of interest within 1,5 hours drive.
