Application Deadlines

    We encourage you to apply as far in advance as possible. Normally, we must receive your application and a full payment of tuition fees no later than 40 days before the program starts. Acceptance of late applications is subject to space availability and last minute booking supplement.

Visa Requirements


How to apply?

  • Online. You may apply online only if you pay an application fee and a tuition deposit online by credit card. We accept VISA and MasterCard. In our Online Secure Application Form, we utilize the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) authentication and RC4 128 bit encryption technology. SSL encryption protects information being transmitted across the internet to our processing center.

  • You can also send your application by Fax or Mail. Just print out a Monospaced Printable Application Form from your browser, complete it and send your application by fax or mail. If you decide to use a Monospaced Printable Application Form, you can pay the application fee and the tuition deposit by credit card, certified (cashiers) check, money order or wire transfer. You will find detailed payment instructions on the application form.

Please send us the folowing:

  1. Completed application (printed or online).

  2. An autobiographical essay including reasons for wishing to study abroad (optional).

  3. A non-refundable application fee of US$75 and a Tuition Deposit of US$200. If you apply less than 30 days before the program starts, please also send a last minute bookings supplement in the amount of US$60.00. The above fees and the deposit are part of the cost of your program and are deducted from the total of the program fees. Please note that your application will be considered only when your payment of the application fee(s) and the tuition deposit has been received.

    Upon receiving your application and your payment of the required fee(s) and the tuition deposit, we will send you a registration confirmation and invoice for the balance in New Zealand Dollars converted in U.S. Dollars according to the current exchange rate for buyers communicated by IPSA on the invoice date. The balance must be paid in U.S. Dollars or in Euro. Please note that a full payment of the balance is due upon the receipt of invoice. Your place will be confirmed only when the full payment has been received.

    You may pay by wire transfer, certified (cashiers) check, money order, or by credit card. We accept Visa and Mastercard. You will find payment details on the Application forms.

    Students who need a student visa have to send us course fees first. We will then issue an official confirmation of enrollment.


Other Terms and Conditions of Enrollment

Please read carfully all terms and conditions appearing on our web site before applying to our programs.

General

    IPSA and Member Schools are not liable in any cases of force majeure (according to the law) or for actions of the students and their consequences.

    IPSA and the School reserve the right to change the fees, conditions, course times, timetables, class locations, class size and course commencement dates at any time without notice. Where the School terminates or does not offer a course and is unable to offer a suitable alternative course, you will be refunded the full amount of unused fees that you have paid.

    LIABILITY and INSURANCE. There is no insurance included in the course fee. It is recommended to course participants that they arrange for insurance in their home country. The School does not accept any liability in the case of illness, accident, theft, etc.

Classes and students.

  1. The School reserves the right to expel a student who is in breach of New Zealand law, or does not adhere to the discipline code of the School. Students will normally be given two verbal warnings and one written warning in an attempt to remedy the problem prior to expulsion. In any case where a student is in breach of New Zealand law then expulsion can be immediate. Immigration authorities will then be informed that the student is no longer enrolled at our English School. In such cases no refund will be made.

  2. Study days lost to late commencement on course are not recoverable. There are no refunds for public holidays or absences occurring during your course.

  3. The minimum age is 16 years.

Cancellations, refunds, last minute booking and late payments

Postponement of Courses, Changes and Last Minute Bookings
  1. The office must receive written notification at least 30 days before your program begins in order to transfer your reservation to a later course date.
  2. For last minute bookings and last minute changes, as well as for the late payments (arrival within 30 days) a US$60.00 supplement will be charged.
Cancellation before arrival
    You must inform the office in writing. Cancellation fees are charged as follows, and any balance is refunded less non-refundable items (application fee, course registration fee, accommodation placement fee, last minute booking and late payment supplemens, bank fee and payment processing charges, international courier service fees):

    More than 30 days before the program begins: Cancellation fee of US$200.
    Less than 30 days, but more than 14 days before the program begins: Cancellation fee of US$200 and 25% of tuition fees.
    No refunds or credits will be given for cancellations received 14 or less days before the program starts.

    If your application for a student visa is denied, your cancellation notice and a copy of the denial letter from the New Zealand Embassy must reach us no later than 14 days before the program starts in order to be eligible for refund according to the terms and conditions listed above.
Cancellation after arrival
    In no case money will be refunded once the course and/or lodging has started. No refund can be given for partial attendance or the discontinuance or interruption of a course/program.
