English Language Program and Our Teachers at Yale Univesity

English Language Program

The students will be in a full immersion of English Environment, stimulating creativities and learning teamwork. The three courses of ESL (English as Second Language classes and TOEFL prepation), STEM (Science and Technology Mathematics), ART / MUSIC / FILM are our main focus.

  • Classes are taught by Yale University faculties, Apple's research specialists and other well established teachers and researchers.
  • The world's top satellite communications expert, former Hughes Space and Communications (now Boeing Space Systems) Senior Scientist, and Lockheed Martin Chief Satellite Architect, VP of engineering at defense & aerospace giant L-3 gives a lecture on satellite communications, past, present, and future.
  • ESL classes are focused on development of all 4 language skills. All class materials inclusive. Certificate at the completion.
  • Levels: beginner to advanced

On their first day, students take a test to ensure they are placed in an appropriate level. There are six levels from beginner to advanced. Students with intermdediate and higher levels are placed in the TOEFL preparation classes. Lower level students will learn Speaking and Listening Comprehension, Reading and Writing at their level.

Sample weekly schedule of classes:

Monday

  • 9:30AM - Registration, Tour of Yale Campus fully with Tour Guide.
    Visit Yale Gift Shop, Bass Library, Woodridge Hall, Commons, Ancient Books Library, and walk passed some of the houses of Yale's secret Society.
  • 11:00AM - Placement test
  • 12:00PM - LUNCH & Break
  • 2:00 - 4:00 pm - World Class Satellite Expert on Satellite Communications, Past, Current and Future
  • 4:00pm-6:00 pm - North American education expert on how to find the best fit for your US higher educatioln
  • 6:00PM - DINNER
  • 8:00PM - RETURN TO Student Dorm

Tuesday

  • 9:30AM-11:00AM English ESL class #1 - Speaking and Listening Comprehension
  • 11:00am-12:00PM - English ESL class #2 - Reading
  • 12:00pm - Lunch
  • 2:00PM - 4:00PM - English ESL class #3 - Speaking and Listening Comprehension
  • 4:00 PM-6:00PM - English ESL class #4 Reading
  • 6:00pm - Dinner
  • 8:00pm - Return to Student Dorm

Wednesday

  • 9:30AM-11:00AM - English ESL class #5 - Writing)
  • 11:00am-12:00PM - English ESL class # 6 Speaking and Listening Comprehension
  • 12:00pm - Lunch
  • 2:00pm - 6:00PM - WORKSHOP: American Law and Trials. (Live Court Session)
  • 6:00pm - Dinner
  • 8:00pm - Return to Student Dorm

Thursday

  • 9:30AM-11:00AM - Secrets of TOEFL with TOEFL Expect - Laura Nederhoff
  • 11:00am-12:00PM - STEM CLASS #1 (APP Creating)
  • 12:00pm - Lunch
  • 2:00pm - 6:00pm - Activities Tour of Yale: British Museum and Gallery.
  • 6:00pm - Dinner
  • 8:00pm - Return to Student Dorm

Friday

  • 9:30AM-11:00AM - English ESL class #8 - Writing
  • 11:00am-12:00PM - STEM CLASS #2 (APP Creating)
  • 12:00pm - Lunch
  • 2:00pm - Yale Art Gallery, Sports, Arts, Yale Science Museum
  • 6:00pm - Dinner
  • 8:00pm - Return to Student Dorm

Saturday

  • 9:30pm - 12:00 America College Application Practice (1) : Students will practice how to apply to college/university, and essay questions, and will also work on a portfolio on getting the recommendation letters with Laura:
  • 12:00pm - Lunch
  • 2:00 PM - 4:00PM - STEM CLASS #3, 4 (Advanced APP Creating)
  • 6:00pm - Dinner
  • 8:00pm - Return to Student Dorm

Sunday

  • 9:30AM-11:00AM -English ESL class #9 - Writing
  • 11:00am-12:00PM - English ESL class # 10 - Speaking and Listening Comprehension
  • 12:00pm - Lunch
  • 2:00pm - 4:00PM - WORKSHOP: - STEM CLASS #2. Professional Movie Clip Making 1
