Accommodations.

At our English Language School in Valletta, we offer four basic types of accommodation and we recommend that you consider the advantages and disadvantages of each type before making your choice:

Host family accommodation:

This type of accommodation can give you the opportunity to speak more English outside school and company in the evenings and weekends and is perhaps a good option for people travelling alone. However, you have to be able to adapt to the way of life of a different culture and there can be difficulties if you don't like something about the family such as the food, for example. We do take special care to match our families to individual students quite carefully, however, and you will be asked to fill in a detailed questionnaire before you arrive about your preferences.

Hotel accommodation:

This type of accommodation gives you much more independence and possibly access to a greater range of facilities such as a swimming pool but can be a little lonely and the opportunities for practising your English are more limited.

Self-catering accommodation:

This type of accommodation is perhaps best suited to students who book a long-term course and have the opportunity to become more familiar with their surroundings and to form close relationships with students and staff. However, the school offers a comprehensive social programme both inside and outside the school we will support and advise you in any way we can during your stay here so you should never feel lonely during your stay on Malta.

Supervised residential accommodation:

This type of accommodation is the option we advise for younger learners. Apart from issues of safety and security, it also gives you the opportunity to meet and socialise with other students of your own age from all over the world and you can relax and enjoy the centre's swimming pool and the many social activities organised as part of your course.
