Italian Language and Art Institute offers a wide range of Studio Art courses at all levels including Painting, Drawing, Ceramics, Sculpture, Printmaking, Photography, Graphics and Fine Art, Restoration... Our faculty is international and both professionally and academically qualified. Many of our instructors are professional artists.

Except for Italian Language and courses that are specified to be held in Italian, all courses are held in English.

Our Professional Study Certificate program is designed for students who have a solid background in the areas of Restoration and Conservation, Fashion Design, Interior Design and Jewelry Design. It is intended to give a decisive contribution to the student's professional career. During the course of one year, the student will broaden his/her formative experience by contributing in artistic projects. The teachers are critically acclaimed professionals who will guide students as they realize important artistic and performing arts productions.

The class selection has been pre-planned in order to allow students to follow the most appropriate course sequence in the area of study that they wish to pursue. The programs are offered on a one-year basis, starting in the Fall and in the Spring semesters. Students may also enroll on a single semester basis. Beginning students must enroll in the first semester of the first year course sequence. Students with prior knowledge of the selected field of study will have an assessment and/or portfolio review.

Study Certificates - Two year programs - Florence

For those students whose interest is in a specific area of Studio Arts, our Study Certificates have a course of study which has already been shaped. The class selection has been pre-planned in order to allow students to follow the most appropriate course sequence in the area of study that they wish to select:


- Fine Arts

The Programs are offered on a two-year basis, starting in the Fall and in the Spring semesters. Students may also enroll on a single semester basis. Beginning students must enroll in the first semester of the first year course sequence. Students with prior knowledge of the selected field of study will have to take placement tests for each course of the semester chosen.

The Professional Study Certificate (PSC) Program is intended to give a decisive contribution to the studentŐs professional career. Please note: In the areas of film/tv, theatre and archaeology the Tuscania program also welcomes registrations for one single semester rather than the whole year, if the student has the necessary prerequisites, and after review of the admissions committee. Relevant courses for each semester will be indicated according to the specific academic path of each single student and in accordance to the course offerings.

Our Institute has now partnered with a four-year accredited liberal arts College located in New York, U.S.A. to offer international students Bachelors degrees in Florence, Tuscania and Rome, Italy.

The degree program has been established to offer an opportunity for students to obtain their degree in Italy as an alternative to studying in the United States. These US degrees will enhance your education and enrich your career path in the US and other countries.

Bachelor Degrees (Four-Year Program) offered at our school beginning Fall 2006 are:
