Accommodations.

Italian Language and Art Institute in Florence is able to assist students in finding their accomodation for the period of stay in Florence. Two types of housing are available: a student apartment or a host family (with breakfast or half-board).

Accommodation Types:

The bedrooms (both in a family or in an apartment) are usually double: it is advisable to reserve single rooms well in advance.

The apartments are generally modest, but clean and adequate for the student's needs. The rent period begins the day before the beginning of classes and ends the day after the last day of class. Students are asked to specify their choice of housing in the enrollment form; a second option is required.

Housing address and Payment Terms:

For housing reservation, a deposit of Euro 150 is required. The student's housing address will be provided only after the school receives the deposit and the housing request form filled out and signed.

It is the student's responsibility to communicate to the landlord the date and time of arrival in Florence. The housing rent must be paid directly to the landlord.

The school does not act as an intermediary between the students and the landlords and does not receive any commission for this service. In addition, the school takes no responsability for any agreement or contract made between the landlord and the student.

In the case of a late enrollment (less than 30 days before the courses start) the school may recommend specialized estate agents.

For short stays (a week) the school recommends that students book into a local hotel. The school provides a list of hotels on request.

Students who wish to leave their accommodation before the end of the pre-agreed rental period must give the owner 2 weeks notice. There will be no refund for this period.
