Study the History of Florence architecture: looking and drawing to understand. The best way of knowing what we see is drawing it.
This is the real way for comprehending shapes, proportions, discovering details, evolutions and changes that define every architecture and its characteristics.
The course will explore the most significant architectures of Florence in a sort of trip through their history and aspect and it is organized with history classes and guided tours, drawing laboratories around the city and at school.
It is open to those people interested in seeing this extraordinary city from a different point of view: deeper and passioned.
Course options:
- The course of History of Florence architecture takes place for a total of 8 lessons (2 lessons a week)and the Italian language course takes place for a total of 80 lessons (20 lessons a week).
- The course of History of Florence architecture takes place for a total of 16 lessons (4 lessons a week) and the Italian language course takes place for a total of 80 lessons (20 lessons a week).
- The course of History of Florence architecture takes place for a total of 24 lessons (6 lessons a week) and the Italian language course takes place for a total of 80 lessons (20 lessons a week).
The course does not include nor offer an internship. The course is available throughout the year.
Studio Arts courses are offered on one-to-one basis. These courses are stricly adapted to the students. The duration of the course depends on the student's level and abilities. Beginners can reach the intermediate class after 30 - 50 lessons and the advanced class after 60 or 70 lessons, but it alsways depends on the student.

For U.S. college students interested in credit transfer, we recommend to choose a Studio Arts course with 48 lessons that will meet the requirements for three semester credit hours (16 lessons = 1 credit hous). Usually in two months of the art course with 6 lessons a week (48 lessons total) you will cover topics of a complete course level.
