Standard Italian Courses
- Standard Course 20
20 lessons/week of Italian language, held in the mornings from 9:00am-12:30pm, Monday to Friday.
This course provides a thorough study of the language, while allowing students to participate in the extra-curricular activities organized by the school, in the afternoon.
It is also possible to attend only the Grammar portion of the Standard 20 course (10 lesson/week from 9:00-10:30am) or just the Conversation portion of the course (10 lesson/week from 11:00am-12:30 pm)
- Standard Course 16
16 lessons/week of Italian language, in the mornings, 9:00am-12:30pm, from Monday to Thursday; allows students to participate in the extra-curricular activities organized by the school, in the afternoon, as well as enjoy a long weekend for travelling, or personal activities.
- Standard Course 12
12 lessons/week of Italian language, in the mornings, 9:00am-12:30pm, from Monday to Wednesday; allows students to participate in the extra-curricular activities organized by the school, in the afternoon, as well as enjoy a long weekend for travelling, or personal activities.

Intensive Italian Courses - Linguistics
For those who are interested in learning the Italian and in making the most of their time spent in Florence, the intensive linguistic course offers the possibility to delve into the study of the language through the Standard course 20 and a series of 6 additional weekly lessons related to language, literature, writing and conversation.

Italian plus Music (Intensive - Music)
This course is designed for those interested in or necessitating the study of the music and the language of opera. This course is very useful to students who are in training for entrance exams to conservatories and music schools.
Each student can choose to attend either one course (2 lessons/week), two courses (4 lessons/week), or three courses (6 lessons/week) from the list of music offerings. Although the students themselves are allowed to choose the courses they wish to attend, upon arrival in Florence, a committee of instructors will evaluate the level of the student, and when necessary will advise students on their choices.

This course combines the study of the Italian language with the study of artistic techniques and vocabulary. This course is very useful to students who are in training for entrance exams to art academies and universities.

Designed for students who want to acquire a well-rounded knowledge of the language, history and culture of the Italian people.
Each student can choose to attend either one course (2 lessons/week), two courses (4 lessons/week), or three courses (6 lessons/week) from the list of Italian culture offerings.

Combined Courses
A combination of group and private lessons; Students will attend the group course in the morning and will supplement his/her learning with private lessons in the afternoon.
The students may choose the number of private lessons and may suggest specific topics to discuss with the instructor during the private lessons, or use the time for review, conversation.

Yearly Course of Italian
This course, articulated in 12 phases, consents attaining a complete mastery of the language, even if starting at a level of absolute beginner. After having obtained the diploma at the end of the advanced course, the lessons will be concentrated on the more difficult and intricate aspects of the language in order to reach a solid and long-lasting acquisition. The content of the lessons will treat not only linguistics, but also all aspects of Italian culture, from art history to cuisine and from music to enology.
The end of the course coincides with the dates for the CILS certification (June and December), however this course prepares students for any type of Italian linguistics exam for admittance to schools, academies, or Italian departments.
The staff of Academy will assist students in the necessary bureaucratic steps toward applying for certification exams.

The course is designed for students who work within the tourism industry and aims to bring each student to a level of linguistic competence specific to their profession .
Students will work on basic texts such as hotel reservations and letters of confirmation, telephone conversations, giving and requesting information, as well as the analysis of more specific linguistic formulas (laws, regulations, and publicity).
The course will also information on tourism in Italy, regarding the aspects of climate, geography, culture and economy.

Italian for Business and Commerce
This course teaches the specific terminology of the business and commerce sector and is recommended for those have business relationships with Italian companies, or that have any contact with the Italian economy.
Students will study the specific language of commercial correspondence, and will acquire the linguistic competence to deal with colleagues and clients using the correct and appropriate expressions and formula.
They will learn how to write business letters, letters of presentation, resumes, descriptions of the company, its services and products. Articles related to the Italian economy and current affairs will also be read in class in order to have a better understanding of the Italian economic sector.

Preparation courses for CILS, CELI, DELI and DALI Certifications
The Academy regularly organizes preparatory course for those students who intend on taking one of the university certification exams. After having taken a placement test to evaluate the studentŐs level and to which certification he/she should aspire, the student will work on a series of exercises that should help familiarize him/her with the content of the certification exam.
Aside from the exercises related directly to the linguistic part of the exam, the instructor will also provide tips and advice on how to best manage the timed sections of the exam, as well as understanding the mechanisms of the comprehension sections and recognizing the most effective language structures.

Italian Cuisine
The Mediterranean Diet, considered one of the healthiest and most economical, has of course its secrets. A professional cook will explain the alchemy behind the flavors that make up the most famous and traditional Italian dishes, everything from pizza to lasagne.
Special attention will be given to the regional cuisine of Tuscany as well as to choosing menus which are appropriate for the season and occasion.
The students will actually help to prepare hands-on the complete menu at each lesson. This course is designed for professionals in this sector and to all lovers of good food.

Wine Appreciation
How does one recognize a good vintage year and what is the difference between wines? A wine expert will teach students the secrets of wine tasting as well as the technical language to describe the characteristics of various wines.
A part of the course is dedicated to the analysis of wine production; from the characteristics of the soil, to the types of fermentation and bottling techniques. Visits to wine cellars and wineries will also be arranged during the course.
