The School is located in the historic center of Florence, between Piazza Duomo and Piazza Santa Croce and within walking distance from the University of Florence. The classes are held in Palazzo Borghese, a Renaissance palace completely rebuilt in the 19th century in the neoclassical style by Prince Borghese. A bar/restaurant in the center is open from 8:00 to 15:00, offering students breakfast and lunch at discounted prices.
The school is recognized by the Italian Ministry of Education. We offer Italian courses of different lengths, levels, and teaching methods to satisfy a variety of student needs. The classes concentrate on the spoken language that you will encounter in daily life in Italy. Our method involves active participation in conversations, dialogues, games, and class readings. In addition, our program includes afternoon art, cultural, and gastronomic activities. At our school, you may study from one week to one year.

The Institute offers its students a unique opportunity to study in Florence with college students from all over the world. It offers the only international academic and studio art programs in Italy, which is primarily directed towards students who are interested in sharing the Florence experience with students from other lands and cultures.
The Institute is recognized by the Italian Ministry of Education. Italian language courses, academic and professional studio art programs are shaped to stimulate and develop the potential individual creativity of students, providing them not only with the technical skills, but also with the conceptual insight necessary for the development of artistic talent.
The Italian Language and Art Institute offers:
- Italian Language and Culture courses: we offer 4 different types of Italian language courses, which are structured in varying degrees of intensity of teaching. Each class consists of an average of 8 students (maximum 12). The minimum attendance is one week. Each type of course is offered in seven levels and to complete a level four weeks are needed. Non beginners can start the course any Monday. On arrival the student will take a placement test in order to be assigned the most appropriate level.
- Study Abroad Academic Programs: a Study Abroad experience offering a full university-level curriculum of academic and studio art accredited courses.
- Studio Art Two-Year Programs: a wide range of Studio Art courses at all levels including Painting, Drawing, Ceramics, Sculpture, Printmaking, Photography, Graphics and Fine Art Restoration.

Florence Academy is situated right in the heart of historic Florence and is dedicated to teaching Music, Studio Art and Italian language and culture. Aside from regular courses Florence Academy offers a rich program of cultural and recreational activities.
Academy offers Italian Language immersion courses for foreign students from all over the world. To encourage interaction and cultural exchange between Italian and foreign students, Florence Academy also organizes foreign language courses for Italians and international students interested in learning another foreign language: English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Japanese and Chinese.
Florence Academy of Music, Art and Languages also offers:
- Music courses: Opera Directing, Opera Libretti, Vocal Technique for Lyrical Singers, Vocal Music of the Middle Ages, the Renaissance and the Baroque, Interpretation of Chamber Lyrics, Diction for Singers, Piano Accompaniment, and other courses.
- Art courses: Watercolor, Oil Painting, Sketches of Florence, igure Drawing, Ceramics, Sculpture, Appraisal of Antiques, Photography.
- Italian Culture courses: Art History, History of Literature, History of Italian Cinema, History of Contemporary Italy, History of Italian Theater.
