    Elba is an island in Tuscany, Italy, 20 km from the coastal town of Piombino. It is the largest island of the Tuscan Archipelago, and the third largest island in Italy after Sicily and Sardinia.

    The Island of Elba has a typical coastal climate, rendered mild by the sea air even in winter. Rainfall is rare on the whole, especially in the summer. In the warm season the temperature of the sea stays around 20 degrees as late as October.

The classrooms are in premises in the typical, low buildings of the town centre looking onto the sea and the narrow streets of the port. Teaching groups are composed of small groups of maximum of 8 students with 5 different skill levels. The method used and the teaching materials are those produced by our schol, based on a communicative approach to the Italian language. All the teachers have done special training courses at the school in Florence.

We offer Italian courses of different lengths, levels, and teaching methods to satisfy a variety of student needs. The classes concentrate on the spoken language that you will encounter in daily life in Italy. Our method involves active participation in conversations, dialogues, games, and class readings. In addition, our program includes afternoon art, cultural, and gastronomic activities.
