English Language School in Dublin, Ireland:

Visa Application.

Due to the current visa process, we can now only accept applications to study at the English Language School in Dublin for at least 16 weeks tuition. All fees must be paid before receiving the letter with which students may apply for the visa.
Most students who come from outside the EU must apply for a study visa to come to Ireland. The School has a Visa Officer to assist students with this procedure. It is necessary for students to pay fees in full in order to fulfill the requirements for visa application to Ireland. When fees have been paid in full, the Administration department will issue you with a receipt of fees and an invitation letter which must be presented with other materials as specified in the Visa Application form. It is imperative that students ensure that all relevant documents are submitted to the Irish embassy for consideration.

Once the visa has been submitted you will be provided with a visa reference number which you can pass on to the Visa Officer at the School and she will contact the Department of Justice and Equality in Dublin to check the progress of your visa. Prospective students are asked to be patient as this process can take from one week to 6 weeks. If your visa is approved, the Visa Officer will advise you and you can collect your study visa from the Irish embassy in your country.

If your visa has been refused you can appeal the decision. It is important that the reasons for refusal are requested. The Visa Officer will be happy to do this for you and to help you to make the appeal. Once the reasons for refusal have been received from the Department of Justice and Equality they will be passed on to you and you can decide if you wish to appeal the decision.

The Visa Officer at the school is happy to make the appeal on your behalf. If the visa is approved on appeal the student will be informed immediately and the study visa can be collected from the Irish embassy in your country. If the visa is refused for a second time, it is not possible for the student to travel. Some students make a fresh application with all of the relevant documentation. This does not ensure that your visa will be approved but sometimes student visas are approved on a second application.

It is important to note that the School's Visa Officer is an employee of the School and that the visa service offered by the School is to assist students. The Visa Officer has no influence in the Department of Justice and Equality and is in no way related to that department. The School's Visa Officer has no influence over decisions made by the Visa Office and cannot influence the speed at which decisions are made.
