Visas and Application Deadlines
Application Deadlines
Normally, we must receive your application and a full payment of fees no later than 30 days before the beginning of your course. Acceptance of late applications is subject to space availability.
If you need a visa to enter Ireland, please apply as early as possible, but no later than 3 months before the program starts. Our School provides visa support for international students. Click here more information about Visa Application.
How to apply?
We encourage you to apply online, but you may also print out a monospaced Application Form from your browser, complete it and send it by mail or Fax. Please click here to access a printable monospaced Application Form. Please note that you may apply online only if you pay the application fee and deposit online by credit card.
We accept VISA and MasterCard. In our Online Secure Form, we utilize the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) authentication and RC4 128 bit encryption technology. SSL encryption protects information being transmitted across the internet to our processing center.
Please send us the folowing:
- Completed application (printed or online).
- An autobiographical essay including reasons for wishing to study abroad (optional).
- A non-refundable application fee of US$75 and Tuition deposit of US$200. The tuition deposit is a part of your payment and will be deducted from the total program fee after conversion in Euro according to the current exchange rate. Please note that your application will be considered only when your payment of the Application Fee and deposit has been received.
Upon receiving your application and application fee and deposit, we will send you a Reservation Confirmation and Invoice. As soon as we receive a full payment, we will send you an Official Letter of Acceptance giving details of your chosen course together with relevant host family / residential / hostel / bed & breakfast / hotel details.
If you you need to apply for a Student visa, we will issue you an Invitation Letter which you must present when appplying for a study visa in your home country. This invitation letter will detail the type and duration of your course. Students should ensure when making their application to the Irish Embassy all relevant documents are submitted for consideration.
Please note that in any case, we must receive a full payment at least 21 days before the commencement of your program.
You may pay by wire transfer, certified check or money order, or by credit card. We accept Visa and Mastercard. You will find payment details on the printable monospaced or online secure Application forms.
Other Terms and Conditions
General
IPSA and Member Schools are not liable in any cases of force majeure (according to the law) or for actions of the students and their consequences.
Insurance
You are not insured against illness or accidents, theft or loss of personal possessions through the school or those offering the accommodation. We therefore highly recommend to take a medical and personal insurance policy valid in Ireland.
Prospective students entering Ireland for study or to sit an examination must present to the immigration officer at the port of arrival evidence of full Medical Insurance for the period of proposed stay in Ireland. Where medical cover is being arranged by the college, this should be indicated on the letter from the college; otherwise separate evidence will be required.
Classes and Regulations
- Students should arrive over the weekend prior to commencement of their course.
- Students are subject to the rules and regulations governing the School or Residence they attend. Students will not receive a refund if they are dismissed for failing to adhere to these guidelines.
- Classes are normally not held on public holidays. Compensation will not be made for public holidays.
- In the unlikely event of there being insufficient numbers to run a course the School reserves the right to cancel or transfer to another course or defer a course.
Postponement of Courses, Changes and Last Minute Bookings
- The office must receive written notification at least 15 days before your course begins in order to transfer your reservation to a later course date.
- For last minute bookings and last minute changes (arrival within 21 days) a US$60 non-refundable supplement will be charged.
Cancellation before arrival
You must inform the office in writing. Cancellation fees are charged as follows, and any balance is refunded less non-refundable items and bank charges if any:
- More than 28 days before the course begins: Tuition Deposit
- Less than 28 days before the course begins: Tuition Deposit and 30% of the Program Fees.
- Less than 14 days before the course begins: no refund will be given.
If, at the time of booking a student indicates that he or she wants to stay with a host family, the School will not make any refunds if the student changes his/her mind either before they arrive or on arrival to Dublin.
If the visa is denied, student must notify the office immediately and cancel the course. All fees paid by the student will be refunded except non-refundable items and tuition deposit, if student notifies the office no later than 28 days before the beginning of the program. Otherwise, cnacellations fees will be charged depending on the time when the course is cancelled (see cancellation fees above).
Cancellation after arrival
In no case money will be refunded once the course and/or lodging has started.
