Spanish Language School in La Ceiba:
Spanish plus Eco Tourism Program.
ORIENTATION
We will welcome you at the La Ceiba airport and take you directly to our Jungle River Lodge. The next day in the morning someone from our staff will give you the orientation session where you will learn about the HonduranŐs past, its people, lifestyle, customs and geography. After the orientation students will begin the Spanish language course.
ADVENTURE / ECOTOURISM TOURS
At our Jungle River Lodge, where you will live for the next 6 days, faces the spectacular Pico Bonito National park. Get ready for your adventured and full of Adrenaline week!!
Program Includes:
- 20 hours of Spanish lessons on a one on one basis.
- 5 Eco-Tours( Hiking, Canopy, Mountain Bike, Rafting, and Maria river Hiking and rock swimming pools.). One per day.
- Expert guides per tour.
- First aids equipment.
- Stay at the lodge for the next 6 nights and enjoy Nature!!
- 3 meals per day will be served. Lovely Latin style food.
- Swim at the natural rock pools.
- Daily transfers to town.

- Hiking in the Pico Bonito Nt. Park
Imagine an informative hike on unmarked trails through the dense jungles of Pico Bonito National Park, then coming out into the light and spray at the base of an incredible 300 foot waterfall. This is the refreshing and exhilarating way to explore Honduras!
Hiking in Pico Bonito National Park , 4-6hrs Pico Bonito National Park has both rainforest and cloud forest ecosystems. From Jungle River Lodge, we will cross the river and enter into the pristine jungle. Our local guides will educate and enlighten you about their jungle paradise as you hike the unmarked trails through dense rainforest. Pico Bonito National Park contains extensive flora and fauna, incredible birdlife and is home to hundreds of different species of butterflies including the famous Blue Morpha. Your aspiration of the hike is to reach El Bejuco, a magnificent 300ft waterfall and your effort will be rewarded with the refreshing mist that will envelope you.
- Rafting on the Rio Cangrejal
Want to get wet and rejuvenated by the fresh, clean white water of La CeibaŐs beautiful Cangrejal River? Get ready to paddle hard and be amazed by the wonderful experience of tropical rafting through the jungle. Beginners to advanced.
Rio Cangrejal offers some of the best white water rafting in Central America, with lotŐs of drops, waterfalls, and narrow passages. The tour begins with a river hike, which will have you leaping off of massive boulders and drifting through mild sections of the river. After the warm up, you will receive rafting instruction from our professional, highly trained guides. Then you will be ready for your white water adventure. Rushing through rapids, manoeuvring the twist and turns of the river while bounding over waterfalls and massive rocks. This is a rafting experience that all experience levels can enjoy.
In the morning we moved to the near by Rio Maria mountain range for a 45 minutes hike with amazing rock pools and views of the ocean. The rewarding coming down hill is a delicious lunch at the beach with an amazing view of the mountain range behind you and the ocean just in front. Back to the lodge for a cold drink!

Hike to 12 foot natural slides, cascading fresh waters, pristine rock pools and lush jungle... DonŐt forget tonight is a party night at the disco in La Ceiba like every Thursday (Disco Ladies Night), transfer from and to the lodge.
20 minutes east of La Ceiba we start our guided hike at a huge tree followed by an easy hike along a narrow pathway until we reach an unmarked turn off to the Rio Maria waterfalls and our secret bathing spot.
Discover the pristine rock pools, where you can swim and play in the fresh and crystal clear waters or try out the 18 foot natural slides, all enclosed in lush jungle with hanging vines and dense foliage.... Paradise.
Enjoy the natural massage of the falls, relax on the rocks and then hike back down the river but this time along the rivers. After the experience we will have lunch at the beach.

Join us for a thrilling adventure and magical experience in our very own first growth rainforest bordering on Pico Bonito National Park. Capture exquisite birds eye views as you literally fly through the jungle. Safe, fun and for all ages.
Have you ever wanted see the jungle through the eyes of a bird or test out your Tarzan skills, soaring from tree top to tree top? Jungle River is ecstatic to offer you our Zipline Canopy Tour and not to toot our own horn but, we were the first to offer this unique experience on the North Coast of Honduras.
At Jungle River Lodge you will be fitted with our state-of-the-art rappelling equipment and given thorough instruction along with a practice run. Once on the first platform the adventure begins with an exhilarating whiz across Rio Cangrejal. Our zipline course has a total of 8 high wires that whisk you from tree to tree, traversing the jungle canopy all the while accompanied and assisted by our professional guides.
Your safety is our first priority and at all times you will be clipped to either the zipline or the guy wires on the platform. Our platforms are constructed of natural materials and designed to do no harm to the trees. Furthermore, the platforms are sturdy and spacious providing you with the opportunity to truly enjoy the views and this surreal experience in the upper echelon of the jungle.
The tour will conclude with a spectacular 660 foot-long zipline across the Rio Cangrejal taking you back to our Lodge. Afterwards you can take a dip in our nature spring-fed pools while you relax and enjoy a plate of fresh fruits. This is a thrilling and adrenalin pumping tour that all ages can enjoy

Riding along a dirt road we pass several old villages, riding close to the Rio Cangrejal for the first 4 km of the trip. Once passed Las Mangas and El Pital the road starts to climb leaving the river in the distance below. The road passes the town of Yaruca and continues on to Urraco where we have a break and start the journey home. This is a beautiful day trip if you are staying at Jungle River Lodge with spectacular views of the Cangrejal Valley.
Last day in full nature. We have a nice breakfast and then say by to the friendly staff of the lodge and drive down back La Ceiba. Diploma of Participation.
