Our Teachers & Method of Teaching German

The school team and faculty are happy about the exciting meetings with so many different people. Every single employee at our school considers it a challenge to give a new and fresh beginning for learning a language. All our teachers hold a university degree and have experience in teaching german to foreigners. What is more, they enjoy teaching in a clear, active and interesting way, which makes the presented and explained topics memorable/consolidated.

German Language Courses in GermanyAt our school, we believe that a successful learning plan should impart the knowledge of a foreign language vocabulary in a logical way with a strong emphasis on conversation skills. In a wider sense, this means a didactic and methodical concept that is at the basis of our lesson planning and design. Our methodology is founded on pedagogical principles that integrate conversation with cultural, factual and non-language specific knowledge on other topics, such as ideology, business or politics, in order to give you, the student, the widest range of personal expression in the foreign language.

Our teaching methods provide a highly organized, proven and comprehensive way of learning, which focuses on both audiovisual and practical learning tools. The courses include vocabulary exercises, speaking and listening drills, textual and visual exercises. We will enroll you in an appropriate course level, once you have completed our complementary placement test.

It is essential that during your stay in Heidelberg you not only achieve your academic goals but also enrich your personality with precious memories. We thank our students for everyday glimpses into their cultures and mentalities, which, in turn, greatly enrich our culture. This we would like to pass on to you. We would like you to reminisce about your language course at our school with a hope that you recommend our institute to other people.

In the elementary, low-intermediate and intermediate groups we work with the following course books: Stufen, Themen, Delfin, Tangram, Berliner Platz, Auf den neuen Wegen.

The course books will be chosen by the teachers. Additionally, our students receive extra Copies and Exercises, for example: texts/ news taken from books, magazines and newspapers. In this way we ensure that they get to know and work with current and up-to-date texts.
