Hamburg Language CoursesHamburg, the green city with its beautiful Alster Lake right in the middle, the big international port by the river Elbe, the cultural centre of the north, is near the 'Wattenmeer' at the North Sea and the seaside resorts of the Baltic Sea, close to the Lüneburg Heath, and just 'a stone's throw' from Berlin or Copenhagen. Hamburg is not only a relevant international port and place of trade; it is also an important place for people and ideas. Hamburg is Germany's media centre, and an interface for arts and culture from just about everywhere.

For many centuries, Hamburg has seen the world come and go. Immigrants from all over the world have shaped Hamburg's history and have made Hamburg what it is today: that is, a cosmopolitan and culturally diverse city, a major player in European trade, the world's second largest consular city, the cultural centre of north Germany.
