Learn French Nice!

A special feature of the French Language School in Nice program is the emphasis on conversational French. Students in the intensive courses have either one or two lessons in small conversation groups. Students are grouped by age and mutual interests in addition to their knowledge of French. Being grouped by age and mutual interest means that conversations focus on topics of interest to all.

Placement in the different courses is based on a personal interview and a written test. The program combines practical French Language learning with interesting social and cultural activities and excursions.

At all levels, emphasis is placed on the practical use of spoken and written French. The language is learned in realistic situations, reinforced by appropriate background information on the French way of life.

We offer French language courses for the following levels:


1. Course I - Beginners.
   Goal: Learning the fundamentals, acquiring basic vocabulary, learning principal verbs and tenses as well as simple sentence structure.
   
   
2. Course BI - Students whose knowledge of French ranges from elementary to intermediate.
   Goal: A quick brushing up of the fundamentals, increasing the basic vocabulary by means of primary verbs and tenses, more work on simple oral and written sentence structure.
   
   
3. Course BII - Intermediate students.
   Goal: Mastering intermediate and advanced sentence structure, intensive work on oral and written expression, expanding the vocabulary.
   
   
4. Course C - Advanced students.
   Goal: Reading and analysing various texts, improving the facility of the language, becoming more closely acquainted with the linguistic content of the French language.

French Language courses:

General and Intensive Courses

Courses begin any Monday.
Duration:Course from 2 week to 24 weeks and additional weeks possible.
Class size: mornings: 6 to 12 students. Class size afternoons: 4 to 8 students.


1. Course No. 1. GENERAL COURSE: 20 lessons per week, 4 lessons daily from 8.45 a.m. to 12.00 p.m. - Monday through Friday. Choosing this course you have an ideal combination of learning and vacationing. The morning course offers a complete programme of instruction : reading, writing, listening and speaking. Study of grammar and discussions.
   
   
2. Course No. 2. INTENSIVE COURSE: 25 lessons per week, 5 lessons daily from 8.45 a.m. to 12.50 p.m. - Monday through Friday. Same program as the course No 1 + one lesson each day for training in oral French.
   
   
3. Course No. 3. SUPER INTENSIVE COURSE: 30 lessons per week, 6 lessons daily from 8.45 a.m. to 12.00 p.m. and from 2.15 p.m. to 3.45 p.m. Monday through Friday. Same program as the course No 1 + two lessons each day for training in oral French

Junior Program (16-20 years of age)

Summer course, 20 lessons per week, 4 lessons daily from 8.45 a.m. to 12.00 p.m..
The special program also includes the following activities during 4 afternoons and one Saturday and on one Sunday: visit of the old city and the castle in Nice - visit of Antibes and the "Picasso Museum" - Excursion to Monaco/Monte-Carlo - Excursion to Eze Village - Diving - Windsurfing.

Combination and Private Courses.

Courses begin any Monday.

Combination of course No 1, 20 lessons per week, 4 lessons daily from 8.45 a.m. to 12.00 p.m. + 1 or 2 lessons private tuition daily. Total of 25 or 30 lessons per week.

Private classes is the most effective way to learn a language. 1 student-1 teacher, 4, 5, 6, 8 or 10 lessons daily. No prior knowledge of French required.
