Location: Our Spanish Language School is located in Manuel Antonio National Park area, across the street from the Manuel Antonio escuela pública.
Classes are held in Manuel Antonio National Park which has some of the best beaches for swimming and snorkeling on Costa Rica's Pacific coast. The park is also wonderful for short walks or full-day hikes. This park is a combination of rainforest, beautiful white sand beaches abounding flora and fauna, and great views. You can see howler, squirrel, and white-faced monkeys; two-toed sloths; coatimundis; raccoons; iguanas and over 350 species of birds and other animal species. In Manuel Antonio, the mountains meet the ocean. It is paradise! Our facilities have a great view of the ocean and are just 2 miles from the beach.
Students stay in Quepos, which is a small village next to Manuel Antonio Beach. The population of Quepos is approximately 12,000 people. Quepos has lots of shops and local restaurants, a central bus station, a great marina, and an open air market every Saturday. There is also easy access to the Manuel Antonio National Park - Costa Rica's largest protected rainforest.
Once in Quepos, our students travel to/from the school and the beach via inexpensive public buses, with a bus stop right in front of the school.
TRANSPORTATION: Students travel to Manuel Antonio by public bus. Buses leave San Jose all day long, but our students usually travel together on the 12 PM and 6 PM buses. The trip is approximately 3 hours. For students who prefer to arrange their own travel to Manuel Antonio, there are private shuttle services, rental cars and local flights to Quepos and Manuel Antonio.
