Teacher trainees will be assessed on their ability to:
- Demonstrate an awareness and knowledge of language skills and how to effectively teach them.
- Demonstrate an ability to assess levels and select appropriate level material.
- Demonstrate an understanding of various teaching strategies and an awareness of different learning styles and needs.
- Demonstrate an ability to plan lessons introducing materials in a logical and relevant manner
- Demonstrate a professional, organized approach to teaching
Certification
Successful graduates will be awarded a TESL Certificate indicating the program length and a summary of the course contents.

With our Double Certification Program, you will increase your chances of finding a job by having two skills to draw upon. This unique program is offered exclusively by our school in Ottawa. Accommodation options are available for out-of-town students.
The Double Certification consists of 76 hours of theory and practicum:
- Weekend or weekly EFLS program (56 hours)
- Weekend or Weekly TESL program (30 hours)
