Gain confidence in speaking English
by learning the mechanism of pronunciation.
If you agree that you will be able to have fun talking to people once you acquire the skill of accurate pronunciation, this program is for you. The ESL classes specifically focus on English speaking skills, such as pronunciation and accent reduction.
Second language learners are often hesitant to speak because they are too afraid of annoying others, or being embarrassed. By learning how to pronounce each English sound accurately, you will gain confidence.
Your listening skills will improve as your speaking skills improve. It is natural that, when you can pronounce accurately, you can also hear it accurately. You will train your ears by carefully listening to your own pronunciation, understanding what causes the inaccurate sound, and correcting the sound by learning how to use your tongue and mouth.
As the lesson is about correcting pronunciation, you will not have an awkward moment practicing English conversational phrases with other students whose native language is also not English.
After 6 weeks of English training, you will be surprised to see how much your speaking and listening skills improve.
Two instructors, a main instructor and assistant, will look after a class of 12 students. That means the student-teacher ratio is six to one.

Get a horseback-riding license, the first step
to becoming a certified horsemanship coach.
You will learn the Western-style horseback-riding skills and basic horse care in the Horsemanship classes. And you will get the Equine Canada (formerly Canadian Equestrian Federation) Horsemanship Certification Level 1, the first step to becoming a certified horsemanship coach, upon successful completion of the program.
The certificate can be a big advantage for those on working holiday visas who wish to find a job at ranches or in the tourism industry in Banff, Jasper and Kananaskis.
You can take the course even if you have never ridden on a horse. Only well-trained, tame horses will be used for lessons. All the cost associated to horseback-riding lessons, such as insurance and equipment, is included in the tuition fee. Thus all you need to bring is comfortable clothes and riding boots, which can be purchased in Fairview. This is very reasonable for Horsemanship Training.
For safety reasons, students must have a working knowledge of the English language before entering the program. The Horsemanship component of the program will be taught in English, and it is vital that all students will be capable of understanding basic English commands at the beginning of the program. If you have concerns, please let us know in advance.
Students under 18 years of age need their parents' consent when registering for the program.
