Study English in Calgary!

This program leads to the examination for the Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (CAE). It will develop the student's English skills to a highly competent level, so that their ability is almost comparable to that of a native speaker.

In the CAE Preparation course, you will receive a thorough preparation in the five skill areas tested in the examination:

• Use of English (Grammar)
• Composition (Writing)
• Speaking
• Reading and Vocabulary
• Listening Comprehension

The CAE Preparation is a full-time 8, 9, or 12 weeks program offered two or three times a year. Official examinations are held on the final week of the program on dates set by Cambridge University.

In addition to the CAE Preparation program, students can decide to take the CAE Support Package.

This program leads to the Cambridge First Certificate (FCE). It will develop the student's skills in reading, writing, listening and speaking.

In the FCE Preparation course, you will receive a thorough preparation in the five skill areas tested in the examination:

• Use of English (Grammar)
• Composition (Writing)
• Speaking
• Reading and Vocabulary
• Listening Comprehension

The FCE Preparation is a full-time program offered two or three times a year. Practice tests are given every week so that students can monitor their progress. A full day of mock examinations are held at the end of the program. Students should expect to read a novel at their own pace. Official examinations are held on the final week of the program on dates set by Cambridge University.

This add-on option is available to full time CAE-enrolled students who would like to challenge an additional exam in the same session: FCE and CAE exams or the CAE and CPE exams.

The support package provides the student with a total of 12 hours of after-school tutoring (max 3 students), and includes the exam, textbook fee.
