Accommodation is one of the most important aspects of a study visit to another country. It is vitally important that a student's accommodation is clean, comfortable and conveniently located.
We also want to be sure that the student is welcomed into the family home and is able to join the everyday life of the family. Living in a local homestay is especially beneficial as the student has the opportunity to practice English in the family environment and can have a taste of the local way of life.
We select our homestay families carefully and make regular inspections to be sure that the homestay experience meets our high standards. We look for our families to show an interest in hosting international students. A homestay must be within reasonable travelling distance of the school and have good access to the local transport network.
In a standard homestay a student has their own separate room which would include: bed, desk, lamp, dresser and wardrobe.
The student takes breakfast and dinner with the family and also shares toilet and bathroom facilities with the family.
A student who chooses to stay in an executive homestay normally benefits from a little more comfort and a wider range of facilities than those offered in the standard accommodation. The house would be more comfortably and spaciously furnished and the student would have their own bathroom (not shared). The student's room would have a TV and hi-fi and usually a phone line to which the student can connect their computer for internet and web access. Executive homestays are generally more centrally located and travelling to school takes less time.
