German Language School in Vienna:
Accommodations.

We offer accommodation in private homes and in student hostels. Private rooms are available all around the year, student hostels during the summer months July, August and September. The arrival day is always one day before the course starts (normally Sundays), the departure day is one day after the course ends (normally Saturdays). Meals are generally not included. The students have cooking facilities in the private houses as well as in the student hostels which can be used at any time.


   

Accommodations in Vienna:

PRIVATE HOMES: available all year round

Accommodation in private houses is definitely the best way of practicing German and getting to know Austria and its people outside the classroom. The students live in private apartments together with the owner of the apartment (always Austrian). Every student has a room of his own and shares kitchen and bathroom with the host. All the rooms are single rooms. The hosts can be a family as well as a single parent, a childless couple, older people or an Austrian student. Private apartments are located within 10 to 45 minutes by public transport from the school.

House rules: Every host has his own "rules". Student and host live together and therefore it is necessary to respect some general points:


• The students have to keep their own room and the rooms shared with the hosts tidy.
• The students have to avoid too much noise, most of all during the night.
• The students may not use any family belongings without permission.

We advise students to arrange with their hosts for the use of the washing machine. Bed sheets are provided but students need to bring their own towels. Please note: The exact arrival day and time must be communicated to our office in advance so that we can inform the host when he/she can expect the student in his home.

STUDENT HOSTELS:
available during July, August and September only

Single and double rooms are available. Moving in is possible 24 hours a day. Please note that if you book a single room you will share bath and kitchen with 1-2 other students of the same sex. Some hostels have a kitchen on every floor. The kitchen is provided with an oven and refrigerator. Students should bring their own crockery and cutlery, for the cooking utensils in the kitchens may not be complete. Bed linen is provided, but students need to bring their own towels. Some of the student hostels are equipped with coin operated washing machines. The maximum distance between the hostels and the school is 45 minutes by public transport. The student hostels take € 45,- as a deposit for the key upon arrival. This deposit will be returned on the day of departure.

House rules:


• The rooms are cleaned and the bed linen is changed by the staff of the student hostel. The common rooms and the kitchen should be left clean and presentable after use.
• It is forbidden for visitors to stay overnight.
• Inside the student hostels it is forbidden to smoke, smoking is only allowed in the garden areas.
• Between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. any noise should be avoided, also during the day the students may not disturb the other students by making too much noise.
• Any damage or technical fault should be reported immediately at the student hostel's reception
