  • Sunday, arrival day. Settle into your room, get to know your room mate, then come to the welcome evening at the start of the program. Details of this will be waiting for you in your room.

  • First Monday. Lessons begin at 09:00. If you've learned German before, you'll be asked to take a test, so that we can put you in the right class for your standard. If you're an absolute beginner, you'll begin your lessons straight away. Everyday German (high German only) will be taught for the first 8 weeks of the course. The last week will be devoted to special vocabulary and expressions for skiing or snowboarding.

  • Mondays. There is a free time programme on these afternoons. These are very varied, and can reflect the interests of the group. There is plenty of hiking, mountain biking, swimming, town and museum visits etc. There is also a social programme on Wednesday evenings. These are voluntary.

  • Tuesdays. There is a one hour lesson from 6pm to 7pm on Tuesday evenings. In these classes, all standards are mixed and the lesson can be on topics chosen by the group, language games, videos, slide presentations etc. This is also voluntary.

  • Thursdays. After lessons you'll have lunch as usual, then travel together in the group bus to the glacier at Kitzsteinerhorn, near the village of Kaprun. There, you'll be dropped at your accommodation, ready for skiing/snowboarding the next day. On the first Thursday, the director of the school will accompany the group to ensure the smooth running of the programme. He was a ski instructor himself for several years, and knows the mountains pretty well.

  • Fridays and Saturdays. Skiing/snowboarding on the glacier. You can ski/snowboard the whole day, and in the evening, visit the pubs in the town.

  • Sundays. Again, a whole day's skiing/snowboarding. The bus will collect the group at a meeting point at an agreed time, to bring the group back to Kitzbühel.
