Accommodations

You can stay in the school building itself or in nearby pensions. There are of course plenty of hotels where you could stay, but these are more expensive and further away from the school.

You can choose a single room or you can share.
All accommodation is within walking distance from the school.

Accommodation in the School Building and Nearby Guesthouses

The school has two rooms with en suite facilities. The other rooms share corridor showers. The nearby pensions only have en suite rooms. The choices are therefore between single rooms and shared rooms, with a shower or with corridor shower. If you opt to share a room, it will be with one other person only. We cannot guarantee any particular nationality for you to share with, but obviously females share with females and males with males.

The rooms in the school are directly above the classrooms, so you do not have far to come to lessons. The pensions are within walking distance. The nearest is a 30 second walk around the corner from the school, and the other which is most often used by students, is a 3 minute walk.

The breakfast room is on the ground floor of the school building, and the pensions have their own breakfast rooms. The owners will show you these rooms when you arrive.

Can I stay where I want to?

We can usually book you into the room you choose, but sometimes with late bookings we have to ask you to stay in another type of room. Also in the high seasons of July/August or January to March there may be pressure on the rooms.

What should I bring?

Apart from clothes, you should bring soap and shampoo. Towels and bedding are provided, and breakfast is included in the price of the room.

Where do I go for lunch?

In the ski season, most people want to get to the slopes as soon after lessons as possible. They therefore often go to the supermarket (5 minutes from the school) in the evening and get bread, cheese, ham, yoghurt, fruit etc and keep it in the fridge in the breakfast room over night, and make a rapid snack for lunch the next day. It is also possible to go to the supermarket after lessons and buy a snack of course. There are 2 restaurants near the school (3 minutes walk) which have very reasonably priced menu lunches and snacks. There are also plenty of mountain restaurants.

At other times, the schedule is less hectic and there are plenty of opportunities for picnics in the school grounds, on the mountains or by the lake. The supermarket and nearby restaurants are usually available and there are the beautiful pavement cafés in town, and again the mountain restaurants.

Where do I go for dinner?

You can book the half board arrangement that we offer. This is comprised of an evening meal in the restaurant nearest to the school. It is a three course meal of soup, a main course of something like beef and vegetables, and a small pudding. The restaurant is a big, old Tyrolean building with large rooms and big, old wooden tables. One of these tables is reserved for students from the school, and is where we have the welcome evening on Sundays.

You can eat at this table with the other students whether you have booked the half board arrangement or not. You can order from the restaurant's menu, which has a wide selection of dishes and is very popular and reasonably priced.

There are plenty of restaurants in town and many students enjoy trying out the local cuisine.
